+1

Just a few observations:

1. Many people with unfulfilling lives tend to gravitate towards politics.
2. Almost all of these people, due to their lack of critical thinking skills and consumption of propaganda, pick a side.
3. When someone attacks their side, they get angry.
4. And when they get angry, they become hyperfocused on weird things like Elon or whatever.
5. Part of their anger is derived from the fact that they have no power to change anything in our society.
4. These people have a never ending list of grievances, so the cycle keeps repeating itself.

And that which you thought you knew was wrong.
There's this thing called the internet that you can look things up on.

Some nerds might know that Elon wasn't the founder of Tesla, but it's hardly common knowledge.

Because most people are not particularly informed and are easily misled because they have little curiosity to verify random things they hear.

Probably because it's a waste of time and not particularly important.

True. We live in a post fact world.

Wow, it’s down 21.5% in just the past week.

The TSLA board needs to step in and toss Musk.

And yet pp felt it was important enough to take the time to post here. You (the general you, not necessarily you personally) don’t have to care about who founded Tesla, but then maybe don’t announce it as fact without verifying it first.

That’s exactly what he wanted when he said the company had to call him a founder when he negotiated his way in.
