It sounds like the police who pulled them over DID know that BL had hit GP.

I am so disgusted that they gave GP a hard time about possibly being charged with DV when they KNEW that he had hit her.
Then, the officer checked BL into a hotel and shook his hand.
So sickening. That officer should feel great remorse and should lose his job.
Thx for sharing this link PP.
Great, informative article included.
After analyzing the 1:17 long video of the 8/12 incident - it was clear that Gabby was in so much distress that evening while Brian was not.
Yet she was the one who they left out in the desert, completely alone not knowing the area or a soul in the town.
She told the cops that she didn’t want the van 🚐 because she didn’t feel comfortable driving it.
It is much more dangerous for a young Female vs. a Male to be out alone in a desert w/out much money or resources.
The officer at the scene stressed that they couldn’t treat the situation based on their genders either way, but someone should have acknowledged that in reality, sending Gabby off w/no resources to fend for herself was definitely a terrible decision.
Especially when Brian was personally escorted to a paid-for hotel.
Yes those officers should be fired.
No they didn’t have a hand in Gabby’s actual demise but they handled the situation very poorly. 😿
If they left BL with the van, I’m sure he’d have called her and found her hotel/motel. With a vehicle she wasn’t comfortable driving, she was in a batter position. She could call her parents for assistance / money / advice or driven away without him. The latter was a stretch but I think she was better off in the van than in the hotel.
