China has 1 billion people, yet only 90,000 infected with it mostly contained after 2 months. Based on the US population and using the same theory only 29,000 should be infected.

Yes, that information was in the public in December. Local government officials were covering it up so they were not embarrassed. Because apparently telling everyone about a new viral outbreak is embarrassing.
