Ironically, they have run into an administration that for whatever reason, doesn't want to support THIS development proposal despite supporting just about every other density project in the city.

The "team of experts" are known far ... and wide. Some are very dedicated and will do just about anything to move the ball.

What? 2018 approved or concluded?

The question asked when the project would be approved. Given that there are now two-year leases on the site, 2016 + 2 = 2018. That would be the earliest the project would receive approval and GDS could break ground.

Ok, thanks!

Clearly GDS has not only the Team of Aces but math whizzes, too!

GDS may have bitten off more than it can chew here. Sidwell's campus consolidation, announced 18 months after GDS' overly ambitious plans, is moving ahead with all zoning approvals obtained according to the NW Current. Meanwhile, GDS is trying to play real estate mogul and still spinning its wheels on the PUD distraction.

An extraordinary number, but still par for the course.

GDS - Harvard ties are well known. In fact, GDS plans to name its PUD "Harvard Square."

Just yesterday, the HoS sent a letter to parents indicating that, in consultation with DC's Office of Planning, GDS was reducing the proposed heights of its residential/retail buildings to 65 feet.

Looks like the Team of Aces, the team of experts and the math whizzes kind of whizzed on this one.

That said, this step significantly will help with project approval.

Ha!-- the team of experts (advising the team of aces) are DC crony consultants and political fixers, including one who sought to get zoning approvals for another independent school though her, uh, rather intimate involvement with the regulatory process.
