9. DeMatha- Graduated all 10 of their starters plus most of their top backups. Big hire with Dave Mitchell, but the program lost too much this year to retain its stance as 2nd in the WCAC.
10. Albans- Strong ‘23 class as well with maybe the top LSM in the area. Their FOGO is great too. Let’s see what Heeter can do with this new talent.
Trust me Episcopal is going to be strong next year.
Until STA can win more than a game in the IAC, it’s hard to rank them higher then 10. Great to hear they have a strong 2023 class.
The Heights at 8? Really…. Almost knocking off doesn’t equate to wins.
Bullis graduated a huge senior class and has very little depth next season.
PVI brings back everyone except their goalie who was the real deal.
I’d go with the following.
1. SJC
2. GP
3. PVI
4. Landon
5. Bullis
6. Zags
7. SSSA
7. DeMatha
8. Episcopal
9. St Albans
10. The Heights

It’s hard to be impressed with them when they have to play sjc. Sjc is just too good and no one stands a chance against them next year. Gonzaga got a very good win against Lawrenceville.

1. Bullis: always extremely well coached and very competitive. TheBulldogs graduated one of their best classes in a long time and arguably the best goalie in the state of MD last year. Depth will be a major factor. Bullis does return the best player in the IAC next spring in Tucker Wade and top LSM as well.
2. Saint Stephens: the Saints bring back most of their entire team from this past Spring. Always well coached and always find away to beat one of the tops teams in the IAC every year.
3. Episcopal: The Maroon will be back next year as the border between the US and Canada is open and I've been told they have a few Canadian imports arriving on their campus this fall.
4. DeMatha: graduated a deep and talented senior class. New era for DM lacrosse with Dave Mitchell arriving. DM will take a step back next Spring, I dont care how many kids Mitchell tries to bring with him over to the Heights.
Looks pretty accurate to me. I’d switch Bullis with Gonzaga because they have more offensive playmakers.
SJC is going to far and above everyone else
Bullis is going to be better than most are giving them credit for. Though they lost a talented senior class, they didn’t play well together as a collective bunch. They bring back the best offensive player in the area next year and the Harvard LSM. The under classmen are bought in.
I wasn’t impressed with what I saw out of Gonzaga at NHSLS. Been losing too many kids to Prep, SJC and even PVI the past 3 seasons, their ability to “reload” like they were doing 5 years ago, are long gone.

It seems like a very simple recipe. Recruit and offer free rides and you can have a #1 team. SJC will be hard to beat until another school is willing to put up that kind of money. I believe Spalding has a similar philosophy right now.
This is such bs. If you are talking about football that may be true. But not lacrosse. It’s not even the top spring sport at SJC.
It wasn’t. Seems to be right up there with baseball. Need the championships to catch up.
