It seems like a very simple recipe. Recruit and offer free rides and you can have a #1 team. SJC will be hard to beat until another school is willing to put up that kind of money. I believe Spalding has a similar philosophy right now.
This is such bs. If you are talking about football that may be true. But not lacrosse. It’s not even the top spring sport at SJC.

I don't see how the Episcopal player who transferred to Prep is allowed to play next Spring due to eligibility issues, unless he is planning to leave Prep after the conclusion of next spring. He played JV at Landon as a freshman. Transfers from Landon to Episcopal and then reclassifies from a 2022 class to 2023 class. He played on EHS varsity as a freshman and sophomore.

I hope this is true but it’s very top heavy. I hope DeMatha doesn’t fall off too much and the Heights is solid. But Yorktown would beat BI, DJO, SMR, and McNamara by 10. GC is likely even match. SJC will dominate next year but we’ll see what happens after the 22s leave. PVI is well positioned to take over for a couple of seasons. Of course, they are always stacked and have never won the WCAC.

PVI has a lot more to prove than the other two, and NHSLS is not the place where that happens.
Maybe or maybe not last year SJC made their mark at NHSLS. Same story. PVI 2022 will be an improved team but all we have now is NHSLS red

Loyola Blakefield is going to be very average next spring - they graduated most of their team from this past Spring - so I wouldn’t view that as a big win at all.
Overall though, DC area lacrosse in my opinion is on par if not better than Baltimore now as a result
Of the WCAC really starting to ramp up their programs.
For so long it was only Landon in town , then Prep, then Gonzaga, then Bullis and now SJC and maybe even PVI.
It’s a good thing for the sport. The sport for way too long has been concentrated by the Baltimore lacrosse mafia who still have a difficult time wrapping their head around elite teams do exist out B-more and Long Island.
“Maybe even PVI”? Really? PVI is not even the best program in Virginia. SSSAS has won 7 of the last 10 state championships, EHS has 2, PVI has 1.
