Also from WaPo: "But such an act is not illegal and not impeachable, the lawmakers argue."

It's not going to sway Senate Republicans, who are just trying to protect Trump, but it's worth noting that the Constitutional standard of high crimes and misdemeanors doesn't require actual criminal acts (as odd as that sounds to a modern reading of the words). Andrew Johnson was impeached for making speeches that attacked congress and for bringing disgrace on the Presidency. In England, where we got the term from, it was used to include various abuses of the power of office which aren't necessarily criminal. The "is this a crime" or "is impeachment a proper punishment for this crime" angles the Republicans are trying don't reflect the actual standard.

This is why I call the GOP anarchists. They’re very clearly uninterested in our laws and Constitution.

They are the white bloc. Haha.

I guess our GOP Congress does not value their own subpoena power.

Yep.
1) Brian McCormack, an energy official at the OMB who was called to testify on Monday
2) Michael Duffey, a national security specialist at the OMB who was asked to appear Tuesday
3) Russell Vought, the acting director of the OMB who was asked to appear Wednesday

First installment of FOIA's Mueller content

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/jasonleopold/mueller-report-secret-memos-1

This is amazing stuff. Priebus (while at RNC) was working directly with Wikileaks (a Russian conduit)

Also

Trump's July 27, 2016 statement was untrue. In July, Cohen spoke to Trump about the statement. Trump told Cohen they have no deals in Russia. Cohen thought Trump justified this because Trump Tower Moscow was not a deal yet. Trump said "Why mention it if it's not a deal?"

"(redacted) was part of the script Trump, Hicks, and Kellyanne Conway came up with months before. It was a party line to dismiss the notion. Cohen previously talked with Trump. Cohen did not tell Trump he thought the script was untrue because TRUMP ALREADY KNEW IT WAS UNTRUE."

"It was not Cohen's idea to write a letter to Congress about Trump Tower Moscow. ... COHEN learned the message to have the Russia investigations end early
from discussions with TRUMP, SEKULOW, [redacted]."

Bannon to Kushner talking about Paul Manafort three days before the 2016 election: “they are going to try and say the Russians worked with wiki leaks to give this victory to us... can’t let word get out he is advising us.”

Also from WaPo: "But such an act is not illegal and not impeachable, the lawmakers argue."

And getting the most runs in a game is not decisive in baseball. Astros win!

Except it is specifically referenced in the US Constitution. So much for a strict reading of the Constitution.

So the White House altered the Official transcripts of the call, per Washington Post:

A vague eight-word phrase was added and attributed to Zelensky that the foreign leader never said. The specific word that Zelensky did say was omitted from the official record: “Burisma,” the Ukrainian company that employed Biden’s son Hunter. In its place, the official transcript used this instead: “the company that you mentioned in this issue.”

1/ 18 U.S.C. §?201 makes it a felony punishable by 15 years in prison to, “directly or indirectly, corruptly seek anything of value in return for being influenced in the performance of any official act.” “Anything of value” is defined as anything with a “market value.”
