Why does he have to? Just because he is black?

No, because he's a leader of the Dem party as House minority leader and his district is in NYC.
The party should be sticking together and yes people notice when the establishment is slinking away.

Dems were wondering how to get young people, minorities, energy back and now they are running away from the person who has done that.

Well Jefferies didn't pick Mamdani so he doesn't have to like or support him by default. The point is not that Jefferies should pick the nominee, the point is the progressives can't force anyone's hand, yes, even if the hand is black. Black people are not always going to do what the immigrant class wants. Why is that surprising? No political solidarity between two groups.

If Mamdani becomes Mayor, Jeffries will be primaried and lose. Mamdani is going to become a king maker….just like Trump.

No he does not.

Also, why do the feelings of 7 million people in Israel dictate who gets to be mayor of New York City in the United States of America?!

This isn't about Israelis, it is about being supportive of American foreign policy. You may not be but many are. Jewish and non Jewish. It is concerning that a mayoral candidate is so tied to Iranian interests.

NP: American foreign policy changes with time. Look at Trump’s courting of Russia….that flies in the face of 100 years of US foreign policy. The U.S. stance towards Israel will not remain static. Both the U.S. and Israel are “young” countries.

Jeffries is a "black face in white space."

Politicians like Glen Ivey, Greg Meeks and Jefferies barter support for Israel to stay in power. They don't really care about the common man.

Black Americans are ok with a strong Israel--helps keep our country safe.

I smell a troll. Really smelly one.

Helps keep the country poor too.

The average New Yorker is tired of the Zionist grift
