Completely agree. Glad I voted for him.
Please, that's not reality. Putin united NATO. Biden admitted that SWIFT sanctions could not be implemented because he couldn't convince EU nations to go along. He admitted this openly. The NATO nations woke up because they realized that what has been repeatedly told to them has now come to pass, that their weak-kneed posturing on the global stage and flowery talks about peace and diplomacy is meaningless against an aggressive and ambitious enemy like Putin. They finally saw that the only way to protect themselves is through increased military spending because even Biden said the quiet part out loud that the west would do nothing if Putin just roughed up Ukraine a little bit.
It wasn't just Putin's actions, but mostly Zelenskyy's courage and his heartfelt and eloquent pleas for help. Had Zelenskyy left the country, NATO would not have grown a backbone. Zelenskyy has led his people so beautifully and because of that, the citizens of Ukraine are determined to defeat this enemy.
I give full credit to Zelenskyy for uniting the world against Russia. His social media posts demonstrated his will and bravery in the face of capture, torture, or death. He is the hero here.
Yes I agree brave, eloquent, charismatic hero and leader. I think that combined with the US not rushing in like some Kool-Aid man of world peace police allowed countries to step up, unite, do good things.
+1 Zelenskyy is one heck of a leader. I cannot believe that a guy who did comedy/acting/dancing for a living before becoming President has the guts to do all this (considering he did a comedy sketch of playing the piano with you know his what). He has a law degree so he is educated too. Just the way he has led his people. RESPECT. The world needs more leaders like him.

He is your hero as long as Russia doesn't aim their missiles towards the US.. Or as long as they don't target your area with the massive cyber attacks to make it uninhabitable for a while. Once your kids are cold and hungry, we will see how you will cheer foreign officials bravery that may drag us into a war we were trying to avoid for many decades. I will admire from afar.. as long as we don't get deeply involved
You think Zelensky should have handed his people over for Russian slaughter to protect the US?
Even if this were to come to US soul, I would still admire and respect the hell out of Zelensky.

He can't back down without losing face and looking weak, which is literally incomprehensible to him, but he can't achieve anything more than a Pyrrhic victory, either. Russia can turn Ukraine into rubble with bombs but they don't have the will or the manpower to actually subjugate the country. They underestimated the resistance and overestimated the competence of their ground forces. The sanctions are going to send the economy back to 1991.
At some point, the people around him are going to get sick of this one-way ticket to disaster and take him out. The question is how long it takes them to come to that conclusion, get up the nerve, and execute the plot.
I was going to come post/ask about a similar theory. I just don’t see how any of this ends with Putin alive. He’s trying to undo world progress that can’t be undone. There’s no going back to the USSR power of the old days. And he seems just old enough and crazy enough to not back down, it’s like he has nothing to lose. He’s hurting his own people in the process with sanctions and military fighting. At the end of the day he may just be willing to launch nukes, but there have to be people around him who are not suicidal and don’t want to see Russia destroyed with bombings in return. Is there any other way this ends, but with Putin dead somehow?
