The movie isn't about Ben, it's about her.
The movie is called This is me Now..A Love Story.
So the love story is to herself?
This is part of the confusion behind this project and why people are calling her a narcissist . Why would it take someone like Ben to teach her how to love herself? He barely loves himself and generally seems like a self loathing downer about life .
In the documentary, Ben says he realized that the movie wasn't about him, but about Jennifer loving herself. Now the movie's story does support this narrative when it's ending with her alone and smiling, until the very end when Ben shows up (though you don't see his entire face but we all know it's him) and that seems to be the karmic reward for Lopez finding self-acceptance. It should have ended with empowered Lopez standing by herself. Have you seen it?
Yes. I don’t understand the purpose of it. It’s like she was making fun of herself as one big SNL skit. Who cares that she was married four times? Most celebrities particularly popstars have been divorced twice . Britney’s just gone through her third divorce . The same amount as J Lo. I don’t understand why J Lo wanted to spend 30 million dollars to tell us what we all know: that she sees Ben as her soulmate . Is she really that proud of being Ben’s girl? Why would she think a drunk , gambler, and cheat is her Prince Charming?
