Poland is eager to get in the fight for any reason. They really, really hate Russians.
And they have a better military than Ukraine.
I was in Krakow and Warsaw this year and Polish people are not eager to fight. They are eager to make money on this war, but they dont' care to die for Ukrainian soil.
Tell that to the polish volunteer corps that was part of the group that went into Russia.
Poland has a bill being voted on for any national to legally fight for Ukraine.
Poland is poking the wounded bear of Russia and will be poked back maybe…then nato will have to level Russia.
Poland already knows what it's like to be under the boot of Russia. That's WHY they are backing Ukraine. That's also why Kazakhstan told Russia "no thanks" when Russia recently approached them for a grand military union and making Kazakhstan a nuclear power.
And Ukraine knows what it's like to be under the boot of Poland, for history buffs.

Look at Germany - they have had 3 generations of a guilt burdened population. Even now many young Germans are still embarrassed to be German because of WW2.
Russia needs to be put in a box for a few generations and then see if it can rejoin the world’s civilizations.
As of now, they are just nazi-wannabes who have nothing to offer other than rape, torture and death.
Russia is not losing, they are gaining and so far they gained a lot of territories.
In February 2022 they gained territory because they bluffed, lied and then made a sneak attack. They have since been losing territory. In the last week Russia has lost as much territory as it took them the last 8 months to gain.

Why not?
I see. I come onto your property and then I tell you that if you don't give me some of that property I will kill and maim your children. So I give you the property and that is so beneficial for everyone.
But the US isn’t being affected except getting new gas markets and spending some money
So why not settle for what there is and negotiate
Because it's not up to us. If Ukraine wants to negotiate after this counter-offensive is done then we will support them but it's not our choice. It's up to them. Of course the far easier situation for everyone involved is for Russia to just go back home.
Ukraine was ready to negotiate a week before invasion. But Biden stepped in and told them to fight and promised $$$. The fight will stop the minute US stop funding it.
This is nonsense. Ukraine didn't believe Russia would invade. American intelligence said otherwise. There was a complete disconnect.
Ukrainians made a heroic defense at Hostomel Airport. And then as Ukrainians clawed back territory from the Russian advance toward Kyiv, Russian atrocities were revealed to the world. The entire West shifted gears. Only then did substantial military aid start to flow.

France, UK and America are tracking Russian subs. First strike there.
First strike above surface and game over. World is out 100m Russians.
China gets radioactive leftovers.
No real loss.

Honest question: how much autonomy do you think Ukraine has in deciding whether to negotiate? Of course they can’t be directly told; but if they are informed that there will be very little aid and there will be other items on the agenda in the near future and they are taking a back seat - is this possible? And what would they do?
I am super curious about this power dynamic between Ukraine and the US and EU. Russian propaganda pictures them as puppets which is not true, but I find it hard to believe they are free to do whatever they want either
