we know what they are. They are one of the many many moments you could tell DC why they weren’t selected. Your dancing away from accountability. but ill keep it straight to the point. You dont like that time then pre selection.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:sure sounds good. Maybe explain what the requirements are at the beginning of the season. What type of transparency would you like? Do you expect the coach to meet with each parent and let them know who they picked and details about why?
Dont coaches have to do mid/.end of season idps anyway? Fit it in there. Just hope the tale of the tape matches up. Parents will probably call bullshyt to your face.
🤣 the audacity for a team to ask for feedback from a coach. I can only imagine what team you are in charge of. They must be in greaaaat shape.
Side note my kid hasn’t gotten selected. And isn’t sweating it. So far it hasn’t worked out for her peers. With that said?! Im sure whe would love to hear her coaches feedback past and present. Most players would.
IDPs are different than explanations of why another child was selected for ID camp. Yes every child should get at least 1 IDP a year.
Requirements will vary by position. Let me know what position you ADD plays and I can give you some examples.

doesnt have to be subjective if it’s transparent. Coaches and clubs are allergic to it however. There is nothing subjective about nepotism and favoritism. Just call em out and keep it moving.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:it will be on the parents to argue back with facts/video on your feedback btw. And if they win that argument it is what it is. But do we think even with the player feedback, parents still won’t think there’s transparency because the coach is only going to talk to you about your kid and no one else. And this is subjective and if your kid who you think should have gotten selected didnt, you will still say no transparency and politic etc
Truth is it’s a combo of a lot of things why kids get selected. Club sure submit a list but the scouts also come out and watch them and still may or may not cut your kid off the list.
The point is everyone will have different opinion on who should get selected.
It’s a slippery slope if all coaches allow parents to argue on the feedback. Any good coach also shouldn’t compare your kid with any of her teammate and only talk about your kids in those feedback meeting. Everyone is going to have a different opinion. I’m not saying politics and nepotism don’t exist - but it’s a subjective topic. To be honest, the process is always going to be flawed and the right players don’t always get identified.
If you feel like your club/ coach aren’t doing right by your kid - it’s time to leave. Why stay?

danger will Robinson. Don’t put it on the scouts and simultaneously have those same girls at the showcase the team didn’t go to. I guarantee if you lay your cards out with player feedback w the notes provided about the players (u did remember to send notes right? Not just names with no context). It will be consumed by parents a lot easier. Sorry your argument as to why its done behind the scenes falls flat. The truth is giving the girls measurable goals pre season in a group setting leaves only accountability. The coach and club would be accountable to send names of players and players would be accountable to the coach and team to meet and exceed the ecnl/usynt standards. If its done in the light its truly earned. Behind the scenes… and you get the naysayers and or kids not selected repeatedly.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:im sure you and coach they did. There is nothing to bite but your tongue or maybe a lip… or two. We appreciate the sensible response staffer. Keep the prayers flowing. They need it.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:im sorry are you an fvu family? The family can in fact use prayer. The request on an anonymous board for prayer explaining why/how we got here shouldn’t be a taboo subject. (Unless you are staff.) Families are talking about it. They want to send care packages to the hospital and mean well. Club is placing them behind a much needed privacy wall. Was a scary traumatic situation. And im VERY sure if you are close to the pulse you know the parents are too busy to come here and say dont post on it. And those parents can and would appreciate prayers from the strangers lurking on this board. More prayers to the better.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:meh. Wherever you are right now say a prayer for an FVU 2011 guest player and her family and the team. Took a bad spill and needed emergency services. Everyone is at a Loss for words.
What happened?
Guest player goalie took a hit to head/chest. Complained about condition Sat down on ground while coaches continued practice. Then blanked out. Goalie coach n parent conducted cpr. Until paramedics showed up and continued. In front of all the girls as DB&CW didn’t cancel practice and kicked balls around to distract . Eventually parents collected their own kids vs watching this horrible situation play out. Curious if they had another practice after all that.
Sounds like nightmare juice. Had no clue concussions could do something like that. (Shouldn’t have googled) Think Damar hamlin. Some The girls were crying But it sounds like the player is in the hospital which is awesome. Kudos to the goalie coach and mom. Curious if there will be an ecnl/soccer wire post on it.
How many of you or your club is cpr certified? I’ll admit im not. Google rabbit hole says it happens a lot. Wish i didn’t go down that rabbit hole.

Should the players be certified. Some hs require it for soccer/lacrosse?
There is something seriously wrong with you to put another family's serious private business here.
Regardless our girls were just as affected by what they saw. Questions linger about liability/timelines w 2/3 coaches not being cpr certified on a field with no AED. Definitely some room for conversation about what clubs can do in these situations? Like fire drills.
Keep that player in your prayers. My heart aches for the family. They have been in my thoughts nonstop. If they put a go fund me
Up will definitely post it here. For now privacy and prayer. And a big shoutout to the goalie
Coach and emergency services. Praying for all involved.
Nah, you are still a hypocrite, gossiping anonymously at the expense of someone else’s misfortune while asking for privacy and praying. I would not want my child’s incident to end up the topic of your discussion.
I will say if this a staff member. Full stop and log off. It affects more than just the player affected. There is a trust factor with player safety that bubbles up with incidents like these. If not a staffer. Your entitled to your opinion. Regardless keep that anonymous player in prayer. If its in your heart to.
You have no say in who logs off when. And you’ve said enough, nobody is biting. Everyone wishes for a swift recovery from this scary and unfortunate accident.

case in pt… transparency shuts this right up. Parents will always feel slighted w/o it.
