Wait, if they defund the police, then they can use that money to stock the government grocery stores right ? This guy might be on to something.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:So you’re fixated for months on end about Zohran talking about grocery stores in poor areas and you’re also the same person telling us it’s okay that our tax dollars go to Israel, “to defend itself.”

Why do most retailers close shop in any particular area? Theft. Yes, unsustainable theft.
How exactly will Mamdani respond to theft with his defunded police department?
Community Activist ! He could be the next President.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Did Mamdani ever have any kind of regular job?
No.
His parents pay for him to yap around and be a community activist and date artists.

I agree with you that theft sucks and is a big reason why stores close. And I don’t agree with defunding the police and I think there needs to be significantly stepped up law enforcement, particularly around quality-of-life issues and “minor” offenses like shoplifting and fare jumping. But Mamdani can’t really do much about that on his own. State law is the issue.

Free childcare…talk about rolling the dice. You get what you pay for.

The Yemeni American Merchants Association, one of the largest NYC food and Bev small business owners in the city endorsed Brad Lander, the Jewish candidate and rabbi, for mayor last month.
Is there one single taxpayer funded grocery store that is successful in this entire country? No.
Better to let church organizations give free donated food to poor people. Mamdani should encourage more of that. Why not?

Mamdani’s pro-Palestinian views drive 83% of his voters, progressive group’s poll shows
Zohran Mamdani’s advocacy for Palestinians was a motivating factor for most of the New Yorkers who voted for him in the mayoral primary, new polling from a progressive research group suggests.
Maybe because people were impressed he was willing to speak the truth and not kiss ass to a country committing a genocide. Hot tip. Many Jewish New Yorkers voted for him too. They’re sick of the ultra religious pushing people around as well.
Interesting that this was the case in such a heavily Jewish city.
People are sick of Israeli interests coming before American interests
