D-1 commit? I’m not sure how impressed one ought to be with that.
First, there’s rarely any scholarship money since schools only have 12.6 to spread across 40 or so roster members. So these “commitments” are one-sided.
And there are now 75 colleges playing D-1 Lax. So that means there are 1,000 to 1,500 of these D1 “commits” playing high school lax as seniors and another big group who are Juniors.
Someone needs to keep up. No more lax scholarship limits.
Anonymous wrote:only if a college agreed to the House Settlement do they have opportunity to give athletic scholarships to everyone on the team but roster size is reduced to 48. Some schools did not sign the agreement and continue as they did previously with 12.6 scholarships but larger rosters. But even with all this said many schools are not fully funded which means that they are not paying out all of the scholarships they could, this includes both 48 and 12.6 schools. So most D1 players do not have full scholarships

The D3 middie is one of the best in the area for sure. The goalie is lights out for three straight seasons and the attack is a little small but strong presence plays much bigger than his size, great field awareness and lax IQ
The team is really talented and makes me wish these coaches watched and recruited more form HS than club.
These kids can hang with anyone.

Just as an example: When Bullis held Landon to 2, and then GP to 1 in the first half, you saw no great players on their defense? Or are you talking about goal scorers?

Below is my all-star team across WCAC and IAC. One man's opinion formed by in-person viewing, streams, hudl etc. It is based on this HS season. Not IL rankings, club circuit film etc. Good luck in playoffs to all the kids.
Attack - Han (GP), Mackey (GC), Hawkins (Landon)
Mid - Gilmore (PVI), Keuhl (Bullis), Demarinis (GC)
SSDM - Wade (Bullis)
LSM - Mathura (Landon)
Defense - James (SJC), McGlone (Prep), Cronin (SJC)
FOGO - Reposa (Prep)
Goalie - Inzer (SJC)
Area Positional Rank for 2026 (Depth of Talent)
1. Midfield
2. SSDM
3. LSM
4. Def
5. Attack
6. Goalie
7. FOGO
POY (playoffs can change this; but most college and pro sports do awards before playoffs, so figured why not)
WCAC -
Gilmore - Leads best offense in area; physical, athletic dodger; gets a ton of attention from other teams. Made massive plays in the biggest games. Change of direction gets him space.
Runner- Up - Inzer
IAC -
Keuhl - Nobody gets more defensive attention from other teams than him, and it's not close. Classic two way. Doesn't force it. Goals, assists, GB's, CTO's every game. Excellent vision for a downhill dodger.
Runner Up - Han
Bullis (top IAC) + PVI (top WCAC) have 3 players combined, but SJC and Prep have 6 players. Good thing they play the games, this reads like a pre-season list.
