It’s effing ridiculous how slowly the lawsuits are moving on this and how little Congress is doing about these bullsh!t “emergency” tariffs.

Numbers are rolling in. Buckle up.

The consumer price index, a key inflation barometer, rose 3% in September from a year earlier, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. That's an increase from 2.9% in August, but below economists' expectations.
"Core" commodities — which exclude volatile food and energy prices — also rose 3% in September from a year earlier.
"Inflation is uncomfortably high and is set to accelerate further in the coming months," said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's.

Reality begs to differ. His tariffs are increasing inflation and amount to a $1300 tax on every household. Not to mention destroying export markets which is costing U.S. taxpayers billions more in bailouts.

Trump administration tariffs imposed this year on dozens of nations and a range of industries are fueling inflation, especially for goods that are widely imported into the U.S., a recent analysis shows.

Product categories seeing some of the biggest price hikes due to tariffs include furniture, car parts, electronics and musical instruments, according to economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The findings are based on research models estimating tariff-related price hikes and drawing on Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data, a widely used gauge of inflation.

But the US has for a long time felt the world revolves around us. It's a global economy and a shake up is due. We've been number for a long time but have not evolved for some time. You can see it in how we treat ourselves - our infrastructure, economic debt problem, k-12 public educational decay and so much more. There's tremendous anger and dissatisfaction within our own country and thus prevents us dinner or later from being a leader globally. It's inevitable that we get to this point. The best case is that it lasts a short time v a long time.

For sure.
Trump has orchestrated the most mind boggling self-own. Billions of dollars of U.S. trade flushed away.

Trump thinks banning the sale of Chinese cooking oil in the US is going to make up for the collapse in the soybean market? What a total idiot.

Talk about f-ing around with economics. He's sure there's at least one person with highly leveraged stocks who probably committed suicide, and also probably spread the word so his friend could make some money short selling.

But this has been a pattern. He always announces on a Thurs/fri tariff hikes and then TACOs on the following wk. There isn't a question of shady behavior it has already led to many who copy process. Many people buy when market dips and sell the following wk - it's a delight to so many who are making profits this way. This is not a secret. The tariffs are pretty much another way ti leverage making $ for Trump and his friends.

The rich have always believed if you don't keep the workers under the yoke they'll be useless. One of the arguments against 40 hour weeks was that they'd just become idlers and drunks.

At this point the chart shows that the rich wouldn't be rich were it not for the workers. The rich are the greedy idlers and takers.
