Not a weird question. The internet is global, but somehow the EU has arrogated to itself the right to police it for the world, including very heavy fines for companies operating out of nonEU territories for content they do not like that weirdly is not aimed at child porn.

The real beef is that no EU company employing Europeans on EU soil has an internet media operation with truly global reach. The hope is that by censoring and fining nonEU companies, they will promote the rise of an EU internet media champion. See Wirecard for an example of how eager EU countries are to promote national tech champions.

Most people buying electric cars aren't his conservative friends. They're the liberals he hates. My current car is going to be my last ICE vehicle and I was considering a Tesla for my next car. Now after finding out just how bad he is, I will never buy one. Plenty of other companies sell them now. While I recognize that me saying that he lost a sale means less than nothing to him or his company, I definitely think his behavior is bad for Tesla.

Conservatives arent buying them. But centrists are, along with non-progressive liberals. I own two, including the most high end one they sell (Plaid X). Politically, I am similar to Elon. I dont hate liberals at all, and I doubt he does either.

Ditto. DH had an Ioniq 5, which we love. We’ve been saving for a more luxury electric for when my current car is ready for replacement. It’s not going to be a Tesla, that’s for sure. (Can’t wait to see what the Ioniq 7 ends up really looking like)

So Elon is in about 24-27B, which would be his max loss in a bankruptcy. Of course you don’t lose it all in bankruptcy as there is a restructuring and some value still.
