Why do you assume OP is long gone?

Not to mention that OP was only one of many playing the game. There are others of us able to see into your psyche too

Sometimes it seems like your DH doesn't even remember those nights in grad school at the Green Mill. Sometimes you look at him now and think "who are you and how did we get here." I mean, life is good: you have a really nice house (in the 'burbs) and two good jobs. But the days just blend together-work, pickup, dinner, bath, debating tball vs soccer for Zach. Your vacation this year is to Disney. When did you become a Disney mom?

Liz and Alex are just hitting their teen years, and you couldn’t be more proud... or at least that’s how you come across on Facebook. They are both decent students and excel at their chosen sports: soccer and swimming respectively. Liz is the more outgoing of the two, and has an extensive instagram following. She’s a good kid - down-to-earth and sticks up for her friends, not getting pulled too far into the teenage girl drama.

Alex is a little moodier, and you’re bracing for the day he
comes home with an eyebrow piercing, but for now he limits her rebellion to slight rolls of his eyes, complaining about swimming, and disappearing into his room for hours.

You and DH are attractive and fit and hold hands convincingly in your family portraits taken on the beach each summer (and uploaded to FB with a witty comment) but you’be just started marriage counciling and are not sure you’re going to make it.

In the meantime, she’s very involved at the boys private school, where they are excelling despite some issues early in the year when Peter (the quieter of the two) took on a 2nd grader who made fun on Sam’s kitten lunchbox. That’s pretty typical of the two of them - fiercely loyal to each other but fight like cats and dogs.

I'm amazed by what you got right. Boys aren't twins (8 and 5) and thankfully there's no cancer in the family. But Peter did fight a kid picking on Sam. The boys are very close and do like to swing the golf clubs and I do volunteer at their private school. And DH and I met in business school.

Their names are so simple and straightforward that I'd have thought it difficult to extrapolate much from them. I guess I'm wrong.

NP. Wow.

Try Ella and Noah please.
