Trump got less than 50% of the vote. His approval rating is terrible and people blame the GOP for the shutdown.
The Dems are not "popular" but they've won nearly every election of 2025.

No, they don't. McConnell got rid of the filibuster for SCOTUS nominees with way less than that.
