None of this is surprising. In the first pages of this thread, I warned you that nothing was going to come of this. Fox has not been reporting on ANY of this, therefore the majority of Trump voters aren't even aware of the details, and in absence of independent reporting they can trust (Fox), they will just believe anything this administration says. MAGA influencers were phoned by Trump when the WSJ article came out and were cowed by threats/cajoling. There is no leader strong enough on the Republican side to press for answers in the face of daunting pressure from Trump, who is also now the establishment, with the full might of government behind him. If Democrats press for answers, then MAGA will automatically dismiss them as liars and scammers.

MAGA voters have no one to turn to except Trump, in the dismal world they have built for themselves. Thus Trump is all-powerful.
