Sounds like one of those "grow the game" lists where they have to include kids from Indiana, Ohio, and Arizona. Was there a "NOVA" quota like a "west of the Mississippi" quota on some of those other lists?

The Fairfax/Arlington/Alexandria publics get a set number of spots as part of the Virginia North region. There is a separate Virginia Loudoun region with a set number of slots for Loudoun County publics.

The WCAC, IAC, and MAC schools - including the Virginia privates in those leagues - are all grouped into the Potomac Region, which gets just four slots a year. Considerably harder to make All American for a player in the Potomac Region than for a player in a NoVa public. In some years, there are Under Armour All Americans who do not make US Lacrosse All American for the Potomac Region. Similar situation for the MIAA in Baltimore.

That's great - do you know how if we can see any of the high school games today?

Well, if Yorktown is playing it will definitely be on ESPN. Or maybe Comedy Central.

Yorktown is a PPV main event $59 pay per view. With the studs they have it only makes sense.

Don’t have the names. But only one was an offensive player: Robinson’s attack. Rest were poles.

I believe USA Lacrosse. No list that I have seen. Just heard about the NOVA kids. No all state teams this year. Thanks, COVID.

Private schools like sjc prep bullis Landon pvi Gonzaga sssas episcopal would all toy with Yorktown. Those schools have real talent unlike Yorktown. Yorktown may be a force to be reckoned with in public competition but they wouldn’t stand a chance against those schools. They aren’t even better then riverside.

So far this post is full on truth. Sleep on Yorktown at your own peril. Public school or no, they are a force to be reckoned with.
