Exactly. Why does someone "need" to go to Vegas twice in less than 6 months? Is he a gambler, or does he like prostitutes, or both? Very odd even if OP's DH wasn't on paternity leave.

PSA: your husband is not likely to announce a weekend trip to Vegas as an excuse to cheat nor is it evidence of cheating. If your husband is cheating or plans to cheat, he can do it anywhere. Restricting trips with friends is not going to deter him.

OP here - that’s correct. Several people suggested that he’s going on trips to cheat or spend time with other women. Is that what married men do on guys trips?? I didn’t think that’s what was going on.

I don’t think it means he’s cheating. I just think it’s selfish.

Agreed.
Any why should society pay for him to go to Vegas (because if it is paid paternity leave, then that is what's happening)

This is a WEEKEND trip, moron. Has nothing to do with paternity leave. Not sure why OP conflated them.

I doubt he’s leaving Saturday and getting back Sunday. He’s still using his leave.

It's one thing to ask, assuming you have decent supports, but getting cold after being told no is a major red flag to me. Wouldn't be surprised at all he was cheating or at least not telling you the full story (e.g. depraved bachelor party).
