While I agree with the general premise of your statement, in the case of TD Ierlan, Yale allowed him to transfer credits from Denver so he still graduated with a Yale degree. So in that case, he got to play and get the higher quality diploma.
Yup - point made. Anyone who gave up a Yale diploma for one from Denver would be a moron. Anonymous wrote:Lacrosse parents have the wrong priority focus on the wins and loses Yale’s top player transferred to Denver

It’s much easier to make that argument for UVA since it is harder to get in even in state. Plus UVA has some truly elite academic programs and majors. But it is certainly not equal to an Ivy or Stanford or Duke or even the top tier NESCACs academically.

I know a good number commits who have been offered ivy for lacrosse and chose other schools instead (think UVA, UNC, Michigan, UMD, Notre Dame, Duke, Navy, etc). A good number of boys just aren't interested in attending an Ivy, even if their parents want them to.
A good number of boys may not be interested in Ivy schools, BUT Ivy academics and a high level of lacrosse is difficult to turn down. Of course, an Ivy education is very expensive and that can drive a family's decision to attend Navy/Maryland/UVA.

Heck yeah. As long you can score above a 32 on the ACT, have at it. High GPA w that ACT score and you can play, and the world is your oyster! High GPA w low ACT/SAT, then no bueno.
All Ivies are test optional. So not exactly.
