It doesn't but if you don't solve the problem of making ID's accessible for all who are entitled to them, then it is a form of voter suppression. But why do you keep citing the bogeyman of the hordes of illegals voting when there is no proof of any such activity taking place?

The immigration situation has not changed so much since the early 2000s when Bush wanted to offer a kind of amnesty.

Nothing has changed significantly in 20 years except for Republicans losing power unless they gerrymander and restrict voting

The immigration situation absolutely has changed. The number of people present illegally has changed considerably. Democrats have gone out of their way to ensure that we cannot accurately track the number of illegal immigrants currently in our country. And, in some jurisdiction, they are allowed to vote in local elections.

We want to ensure that only those legally qualified to vote do so. Yes, it is that simple.

Then, why are you against full background checks on ALL gun purchases, permit requirements for ALL gun purchases. Get real. The entire purpose of the GA GOP is to discourage Democratic voters from voting. In the sports world, it is called cheating! Change the rules.

Free government assistance obtain the ID — or acceptable forms of ID that don’t disproportionately impact any group of people. It doesn’t make sense to me that a student ID with a picture issued by a state university would not be acceptable - when a gun license is just fine.

So, older person born at home in a tiny town in, let’s say Alabama. No birth certificate, no Baptismal record, might have a family Bible indicating their birthdate. The onus should not be on this citizen to spend the considerable time and money it would take — if it is even possible— to meet the standards for obtaining a Real ID in, say, Hawaii, in order to fulfill a drummed up solution to a problem that doesn’t appreciably exist. It’s worth pointing out, yet again, that many of the forms of ID deemed acceptable require a birth certificate before they will be issued.

If you oppose a law requiring showing an ID in order to vote, then you are for voter fraud. There is no other plausible reason.
