When quoting numbers, I think you need to specify which tryout. 14U had closer to 68 than 48 but I didn’t count (3 “full” teams for scrimmages). Don’t know about 13U.

So who is the coach for 13U and for 14U?

I counted 48, not 68.

Yes, boys were told that within a week they would be split into three groups (yes; no; and come back for another round). But it sounds like fake news to say how many players were picked based on today; I doubt that the coaches know that yet, and if they did, nobody privy to that info would post it on DC Urban Moms!

And by the way, there were no players flown in from Florida or Texas, as some of the experts on this forum predicted.

There were 68 kids including Fogos and goalies. 10 kids will find out if they made the team on Wed, some kids will be asked to come back, and everyone else will be cut.

Various coaching rumors but not confirmed. It might not even be revealed at tryouts.

With 25 spots to fill I image that the team will probably look to fill 6 attack, 9 middies, 6 defense, 2 goalies and a couple of FOGO.

Might be a tough day for some. Size and speed may rule the day.

Madlax tells you right where you register your kid. $1,190 total, broken into installments (presumably with the last payment not due if you don’t make the main event).

Black Ops has not said publicly but I’d guess something similar but slightly cheaper.

Since tryouts are free and it looks like anybody that is of age is able to sign up does anybody know of other kids who signed up that are not part of the three teams? Just curious as to how stiff the competition will be....
