State Rep. Mike Reese, elected in November to his seventh term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, died Saturday at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg following an apparent brain aneurysm.

Reese was elected to Republican caucus chairman for the 2020–21 session. He announced in early December that he was in quarantine after testing positive for the coronavirus. It’s unclear if his death was related to the virus.
