You can be the best developer in youth soccer but if your kids aren't playing on the best platform, they will not get seen by DI coaches. The situation was different 6+ years ago when KL and his co-coach won a national title with MSI/Rush. There were girls on that team who played for top DI programs. KL had strong 05 and 06 teams at Rush but realized that even those teams consistently beat the hell out of Bethesda on the soccer field, Bethesda's player would fare better in the recruiting process because of the ECNL affiliation. KL made the right move and took his teams to Bethesda. Bethesda was smart in recognizing that it needed new blood and brought KL on board.
