We've seen similar this year with the U12 "pre-DA" that Bethedsa, Arlington, Richmond and Baltimore fielded. They competed amongst themselves (I think in EDP) while waiting another year for the formal DA to start.

Still very doubtful.
U15 and U17 would follow MLS teams' schedule and play on the same day as Mexico. That is based on how many team could be accommodated by the travel, game schedule.
2 youth team games are feasible between MLS teams before the main event.
If so U13-U19 for clubs outside of MLS, that would be for sure 2nd tier, aka abandoned clubs/teams have fun with each other, you could barely call it a "league".
Even if this is true, Boys (former) DA teams would choose to be second tier vs third tier, which is Boys ECNL.
“Look at what league my son plays in. Don’t pay attention to whether his team is actually good or if he is actually good or if either is actually developing or how they play. And goodness don’t ask us to play anybody else when we would find out just how good other teams and clubs are.” Weak weak weak. Read, flush.

He said that was possible and still being discussed, but that for Fall 2020 groupings would more likely be based on geography so that no hotel stays were required for games or tournaments.
So U15 and U17 teams for DCU and Arlington, SAC and Bethesda. The world could have been much, much more interesting. This seems pretty lame. At least the U12 attemot at this had Loudoun, Penn Classics and Richmond as well, and even that should have and could have been much better given other boys clubs in the area. Pass.
No, read above. MLS league for boys U13-19, not just U15 and U17.
It does not agree with MLS own publication few days back.
And this is second trial of DA, only name changed from DA to MLS, and MLS going to pay $6M ? (DA a year is $12M for both Boys and Girls)
Things do not add up man..

I thought that the concentration of talent in a few cubs was the ultimate objective.
I assume that it is now considered "lame" as it is leaving the ECNL boys as a third best.
Anyway, not much point in speculating, nothing is decided.
So why not have DCU, then simply have them play each of the best boys teams in their age group in the area each year? This is a joke if you want the best playing the best on the boys side. And the MLS itself has said U15 and U17. I am only assuming they are doing what has been publicly confirmed. Of course, if they just wanted to get rid of DAs simply to ditch girls DA, and then set up essentially the same thing only for boys (with fewer teams), I think they were being advised by the same idiotic lawyers litigating against the women’s team. So I do assume they won’t simply recreate the DA for boys, though I am sure that gives a lot of comfort to non-MLS DAs.
