Great ((sigh) the democrats may nominate a extremely wealthy, white guy.

But, I am not surprised. The liberal elite who run the DNC have all acquired their wealth. With Mike as president, they will pull up the ladder and closed their club.

I feel sorry for those who couldn't grad the end of the ladder and will now be stuck paying for those who can't provide for themselves.

Bloomberg isn’t even on the list. If it’s Bloomberg vs Trump I’m staying home. A lot of people will do the same and refusing to vote for the “best” billionaire racist.

Grow the F up and vote like an adult.

Trump has not only said worse than Bloomberg, he has caused more tragedy than philanthropy in any of his public and historical work. To say the least. I have a right to disagree with unfair treatment from both Trump and/or Bloomberg or any other person, and still make a decision for how I will operate; as do you. people have a right to protect themselves, especially amongst abuse; and that can include setting boundaries from dangerous wolves and especially abusive authoritarians. But when no one follows the rules, and it seems that only a pack leader is encroaching with his own rules and a clan of followers... well.

You would be the clown and fool to keep him there.

Im the black PP. Baltimore is a bad nasty place. So what? Have you been to Baltimore besides the downtown area? It’s bad. And Spare me your boring argument on the kids in cages bit. 1) Obama was doing that too 2) if they came here legally, there would be no issues.

Trump never had policies that literally targeted black kids. Seriously, if I lived in NYC between 2002 and 2014, just for simply minding my business, my 4th amendment rights would not exist and I can be liable to be stopped because of my skin color? Literally, that’s it. I’m black so I must be a violent thug up to no good.

A fool would to be to vote blue no matter what for another racist bigot. F that. I’m staying home if it’s between Trump and Blooomberg.

Also, lol at calling a black person a fool for not wanting to vote for a guy who literally would’ve been ok with me going to jail for walking down the street.

Trump wants nationwide stop and frisk. He said this in 2016, after it was declared unconstitutional.
“I would do stop-and-frisk. I think you have to. We did it in New York, it worked incredibly well and you have to be proactive and, you know, you really help people sort of change their mind automatically.”

Here he is at one of the debates:

And in 2018: “It works, and it was meant for problems like Chicago.”

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-international-association-chiefs-police/

TWO DAYS AGO he said Bloomberg shouldn’t have apologized for it.

And he tweeted a ton in support of it before he was a candidate.

Not sure what the point of this is. The very thing you bolded is still true. He never implemented the policies. Bloomberg actually did.

No, Bloomberg continued the policies of the Giuliani administration and stopped them once they were declared unconstitutional. Trump is still saying over and over that he wants them even after they have been ruled unconstitutional. Trump, in 2018, said he was asking Attorney General Sessions to “work with local authorities to try to change the terrible deal the city of Chicago entered into with ACLU, which ties law enforcement’s hands.”
https://www.aclu.org/blog/criminal-law-reform/reforming-police/president-trump-stop-and-frisk-both-unconstitutional-and

Who cares. Stop and frisk is one thing. Until I hear audio that Trump said “we gotta make sure black males are targeted because they commit all the crimes”, then it doesn’t matter.

Supporting stop and frisk is one thing. Supporting stop and frisk to ONLY Target black young males and to literally say that the cops should target less white men....is a HUGE other issue. Even I would support stop and frisk if it targeted everyone equally. But that isn’t what Bloomberg said or did.

The fact that you’re trying so hard to act like what trump and Bloomberg are equal is very telling that you don’t understand the huge difference.

I know Bloomberg says he only jumped in the race because Biden looked weak, but his strategy is perfect for someone who wanted to avoid early scrutiny. Had he entered when everyone else did, his record on stop and frisk would have been brought up numerous times during debates and interviews. He knew he had that baggage and thought he could circumvent it by skipping the first contests and debates and skipping right to Super Tuesday.

I’m not looking for perfect BTW- all of these candidates have flaws. But that shouldn’t stop us from evaluating and discussing those flaws. Seems like there are a lot of people who want to just look past Bloomberg’s flaws because he has a lot of money.

Serious question do you think Bloomberg is going to implement stop and frisk as a policy of course not

He is A+ on gun control, the environment. He supports a $15 minimum wage what more do you want as a progressive

Personally he's more moderate on the economy and healthcare and guess what so is the rest of the country.

Different black voter here.

I will not consider whether or not he is going to implement stop and frisk. His recent statements (yes, 2015 is very recent) are damaging enough that they automatically disqualify him as far as I am concerned.
I am not voting for someone who is willfully ignorant on racial profiling.

Bloomberg is not the only alternative. Now, some of the other moderate candidates also have issues with race. I am already committing to vote for anyone of them if they win the nomination because Trump is such a threat. That's how far I am willing to consider. If Trump is such a threat let Klobachur, Buttigieg and Biden coalesce to form a strong moderate candidate. Let white America sacrifice one or 2 of their candidates(pick one of these 3 and let everyone vote for them) so a moderate can win the nomination(getting a moderate candidate seems to be the main reason why they want Bloomberg).

Imagine people not voting for Biden just because he is not as eloquent as the others. But we are supposed to swallow Bloomberg's racism because he can beat Trump. Well Biden will beat Trump! Swallow his shortcomings.

+1 to all this.

+2

People aren’t going to vote for Bloomberg just because he’s not trump. If people have this mindset, they should prepare to be disappointed.

It’s easy for someone white with their privilege to call a black person a fool for not wanting to vote for another racist. They never have to worry about being targeted by police nor do their kids ever have to worry about it.

If that's the case, then Warren is in trouble. The biggest demographic in her support seems to be white suburban and white college educated women. If she can't win with only that demographic, then she'll be in trouble.

This shouldn’t be a contentious point.

this is how politics work lol. They all are doing it. Why do you think Steyer has any traction in SC. Why did they initially support Biden. Politcis is about money and power period especially when you are in non competitive districts like most majority blacks areas and really most of the country too.
