I think it's enjoyable to watch. The scenery is gorgeous.
scenery and jack. that's why we watch.
Speak for yourself. It's scenery and Preacher all the way.
Yes!
I have to agree with this.
But can we give a shout out to Muriel? I love her!
At the start of the series, it seemed like she might be one of those terrible busy bodies, but she's not. She's interested in her friends, but she's not gossipy like Hope or suspicious and interfering like Lizzie's grandmother. She's a good friend. She shows up with a pie or casserole when you need help, or a backgammon board when you're lonely. She was interested in Doc when he and Hope were split, but she backed off immediately when she saw they might rekindle their relationship.
She has strong opinions and her own way of doing things, but she recognizes that not everyone is the same and defers when appropriate, like when building the bench with Hope.
She's always cheerful and upbeat, but honest enough to admit she can be lonely. She doesn't wallow in self-pity. When counseling Hope to consider getting help at home, she acknowledged it was hard to live alone, but she was very matter-of-fact, even though she was confessing a hardship, and kept the focus on Hope's needs, not her own. She's generous of spirit that way.
She wears cute clothes that are age appropriate and fit well. She always looks put together and fit. Her costume at the Renaissance Fair was the best, with that curly, orange wig and red heart-shaped lips. Adorable.
