Not Fcv Youtube dad but as far as club rankings go in this area:

FCV NUMBER 1

.......

Every other club a distant 2nd or worse.

There are a few teams in individual age groups that could hold their own but no club that would win the majority of games against FCV U13-U19.

This isn’t exactly high praise of FCV by the way. Once FCV gets out of the region they fall flat on their face.

What do describe as flat on their face?

Losing 0:5 against PDA for example.

In a national final. Keep celebrating that tie against surf. Way to go Bobby! I’m glad it’s all over and Twitter is back.

Because FCV 05 won one and tied one against strong California teams.

04 won one and lost two.

U16/17 went 1-1-1

U18/19 went 1-1-1

04 looks a little disappointing but they also earlier this year beat a team that qualified for semifinals next week.

U16/17 likely better than expected given they were lowest seed in group and have a few missing playing up.

U18/19 lost last game to get eliminated after only needing a tie - game was close one and only ended up 3-0 late as FCV pushed everyone up to try to score and got burned doing it.

This seems far from falling on their face especially given the very high level opponents being faced and the advantage west coast teams have in terms of travel.

Which in that environment projected out a ten game season would make FCV very average.

While your #FCVorBust mentality is cute, its lazy.

Question: Why are we going in circles about this? The teams are made. Next year season starts in a month. We will find out soon enough. I rather hear about insider trading information. You know, something useful. What teams got stronger/weaker because of player/coaching movement, etc.

Your reading comprehension is lacking.

I made a statement that speaks for itself.

So you agree that the Mid Atlantic is weak.

You believe that the Mid-Atlantic region, DA or ECNL, is weak.

I'm telling you that if you think the MidAtlantic region is weak then you believe that the rest of the country (with the exception of Socal) is weak because every region is like ours.

For example, just because Tophat wins a national title doesnt make the SE region a strong DA region.

You have to look at the strength of the teams in the league per individual age group to determine the strength.

As I said before, cherry picking is lazy.

I think SoCal is strong in general so I think you are right to compare the NE to SoCal but let's be fair that no other region of the country competes with SoCal. The weather, population and proximity (even when considering traffic), can't be beat.

To say that the DA is better than ECNL, today, just seems silly.

And the Mid Atlantic Conference doesn’t compete with the North East either.

DA Mid-Atlantic is not hitting on much either. MA ECNL had 2 national finalists and several quarter finalists. How about Mid atlantic DA?

The entirety of the Mid Atlantic, DA or ECNL is weak. Trying to prop up your situation based on the allegiance of mega clubs a continent or a conference away doesn’t make your club situation better.

OMG, today conversation started because Mr. DA propaganda machine keeps selling snake oil. Just because we offer a legit counterpoint backed by facts doesnt mean we are propping up one over the other. Its merely pointing out the hypocrisy.

But yes, the strength of a league in your overall geographical region is important because of crossover games and regional showcases (Like ECNL NJ /PDA showcase)

The only good team in NY (yes, Atlantic DA divsion play 3 -4 NY teams) was NYC FC which is now World Class ECNL. FCV has to drive to Atlanta just to get meaningful competition. It's also a way for USSF to save face and offer Tophat a bone because they hate DA.

So again, stop with the BS

And to the guy who keeps calling our region weak. When will you realize that by your standards, every region in America is weak except Socal. Go take a hike with that BS as well.

By all means post some Mid Atlantic team scores against PDA.

I’ll start. 06 VDA 0:5 PDA 06.

That’s it. You actually have to be a good team to play good teams in other conferences.

06 VDA 1:0 Tophat 06.

I see what you did there.

Me too. Good one.

Any other teams or age groups?

No. Playing PDA is not a regular season occurrence. You are still left with a weak region still trying to hang your hat on what clubs are in your league when in fact you rarely if ever get a chance to play against them.

What are you hanging your hat on?

I’m not. I’ve said several times that the Mid Atlantic is weak regardless of league.

Ok. Thanks.

Are you the consolidation guy?
