Every teen is not using racial slurs. Every teen is not smoking pot. Every boy is not sexually assaulting women. Everyone doesn’t do it. And if your kids and their friends all do, you have failed at parenting and your kids need a better peer group.

As I tell my kids— don’t do anything online you don’t want parents, the principal or the police to see. (Or college admissions or a future employer). Anything electronic can be screen captured.

+1 No college wants a kid ranting about Jews and n***** and fantasies of violence. Seriously. This shouldn't be a political issue. Harvard rescinded the admissions of two accepted students for plagiarism. This is far worse.

This. Rescinding was no brainer for Harvard. Much harder for them are the cases of unqualified athletic admits whose parents bought their admission, with a nod and a wink from the athletic directors.
