Fair warning, my high-stats D just went through the process, and merit from Pitt and Case Western has noticeably became more rigid and competitive over the last devastating cycles. Don’t count on it. Check CC.

Aren't you jumping to hyperbolic conclusions? How do we know they won't have housing? Tech could be bringing in air-conditioned trailers as we speak. How do we know they will be treated like cattle? One PP says "a friend of a friend" had to stand in line in dining hall. Oh the horror! When we toured we ate at the terrific restaurants that have pizza, sushi, Japanese teppan, etc. etc. The food is amazing at Tech. Why don't you wait and see how Tech decides to handle it.

I googled it.
One single website, Niche, has them listed as #1 for food based on student ratings.
So it’s kind of like then you ask a third grader what their favorite subject is and they say “lunch.”

No. I have many reservations about Va Tech, but they do have an exceptional meal plan. Sure, Bowdoin and UMass are great too. As are others. But the choices are unusual and even include food trucks parked outside the science buildings some days, which is great between lectures and labs.
