Would not surprise me to have utterly stupid Trumpsuckers think that it’s the employees fault when the company has run out of money.

Given Feds have engaged in sabotage prior, stands to reason it will continue

Maybe now that the Trump Administration is finally bothering to figure out just exactly what the federal government does it can end?

Funny how we never managed to fund the wall in the two years when Republicans controlled all the levels of government, but it’s critical that it be done right now or millions don't get paychecks

I hope not, more than a few Fed LE agencies are going to be in chaos if a shutdown lasts that long as people start outright quitting in large numbers.

I doubt people would quit that quickly. For one, they would need a new job first and second, no tax refunds will end this thing faster than almost anything else. People depend on those refunds.

Glad someone thinks we’re patriots. Normally all we hear is fed bashing.

I just don't get Trump's thought process, who's going to enforce all those nifty immigration policies when all the BP Agents have walked off the job? I don't think there's many who can go for a few months without a paycheck.

Trump was asked about this. He said federal employees are happy to go without paychecks for border security.

Yeah, no.

And let’s not forget he said landlords and credit card companies will be happy to work with unpaid federal employees.

+1. Next week. Dems will come up with some smaller amount for "border security" while saying it's not for a wall, Trump will cave, declare victory, and the great unwashed will believe his tweets.

Dems will hold to their initial proposals. They now have power and will wield it. There is zero incentive for them to give a penny more.

There’s also zero incentive for Trump to modify his position.

What about the Republicans? Do they have zero incentive as well?

Sure, that will go over well.

Prove he said that.
