Did William have a choice, of course he did. Just like Harry did. But people want to act like Meghan cast some sort of spell on Harry after scheming forever to get him. When in reality based solely on the length of their respective relationships, she would have put in much less time and effort in "snaring/securing" a prince than did Kate.
Kate changed schools for the chance to meet William, joined groups and hung around with people that would put her in his sphere. Her family may have had some relative wealth, but she was not in his social class. By it's very definition, that means she was a "social climber" in her efforrts to win him. Then to add to that she waited around through various breakups and humiliations for 10 years until he deigned to marry her. She was determined to get her man.
Contrast that with Meghan who met Harry through a blind date. Once she did, it's possible even probable that she used her wiles to capture something that she wanted. She must've wanted to be a princess and she got her wish. So she climbed as well.
The issue here isn't that I believe Meghan to be any better than Kate, but the hypocrisy from the Kate apologists is annoying. They want to rewrite history and would have us all believe that Kate was some childhood friend of William that grew up in his social class/sphere and was a natural choice for a bride. That's not at all true. You have two women from a vastly different background who pursued and then won their princes.
I'd love it if people would stop acting as if Kate is some angel who magically fell into William's lap. Meghan is castigated for every single thing she does that is "wrong". Yet those same posters make excuses for all of Kate's foibles. Kate has had years more and many mistakes before getting it right. It would be nice if Meghan was afforded that same courtesy.
totally agree with this.
This is why I'm glad Meghan leaked the cheating story to the press. Kate deserved that .

Kate is English
Meghan is American
Kate will always be Meghan’s superior no matter how it galls you. I would love to be a fly on the wall when the Queen and Princess Anne dish about Kate and Meghan. Meghan will always get the wrong end of the stick.

No one knows yet. I think it (THEY #teamtwins) have been born but it hasn’t been announced.
If you are wrong about the twins will you admit it?
Anonymous wrote:What are you talking about? It's a documented fact that Kate changed schools and vigorously pursued William. Are you kidding me?
