I agree. She’s a bit like those little “accessory dogs” that are small and cute, but their owners let them get away with bad behavior because of this, so the become spoiled. Big dogs, on the other hand, get corrected quickly, and are often well behaved.
None of this justifies what happened to her. If you believe being groped is a “correction”, you are a sick person.

No. She died lie in repose on the Tuesday-Wednesday at an African-American museum and Thursday at her father's church and the body was dressed in different outfits every day. She was a hero in Detroit and there was a lot of desire among the family to let people pay their last respects.
At the funeral the casket was open and she wore yet another outfit and people went up and paid their respects. They did not "pass her around."
