I thought last night's episode was better than the last few. Just when I start to write off Kevin as an egocentric pretty boy, we see him really struggling with a lot of stuff stemming from his childhood. And Randall - one of my favorites - is this kind, earnest, high-strung, awkward perfectionist who seems very relatable. It's harder for me to see past Kate's annoying and sometimes unrealistic behavior, but she's clearly messed up, too. To me, it's interesting and sad to see how this family changed over the years and how events and incidents accumulate over time to shape the people we are today.

I'm to the point of basically hate-watching this season just so I don't feel left out when my friends and co-workers discuss, which to be honest, is also a lot of 'hate discussing.'

I feel like it might be destined to be one of those shows that has an amazing first season and then each subsequent seasons just get a bit worse each year.

That's funny because the scene with Toby in the coffee shop was my least favorite. I cringed through the whole thing.

That was so bad! Especially ehne he pured the water over his head. There's a tonal issue with S2 This is Us. Is it a sitcom, drama, comedy?

How about when Kid Randall pretended to burn his hands on fake-hot marshmallow. And blowing his fingers. Much acting.

I am loving the second season. I think they're trying to relate with a certain segment of the audience through each character.

If you really hate the show and don't find it good, you probably can't relate at all. So, good for you. It sucks experiencing some of the issues that surround the characters in the show.

Just when I was ready to abandon this show, I got sucked back in!

I like young Randall, adult Randall's children, William and young Kevin and adult Kevin when he is trying to be serious and ends up being goofy. Every other character is on a time-out.
