I’m convinced that about half of all DCUMers do not even know any actual Republicans in real life.

I know plenty Republicans, but fortunately I do not know many members of the Trump Tribe.

I have nothing against electric cars as long as the customer purchases them 100% on their own without any subsidies from tax payers.

I don’t think the presmise of this is true. My parents are pretty hard core republicans and they drive an electric car. I’ve never associated it as something Republicans dislike.

electric is the future whether you like or not. its on my watch list. range needs to increase 400+. price needs to decrease. charging needs to be national just like gas stations.
if you are making a political statement with you car thats just dumb. make a choice on the ride and how you use a car. thank God GOP don't make cars. it would probably be called a Trump.

This thread has gone so off the rails and so insane but I can’t bear to report it for the sheer entertainment value!

That's an outdated claim. 200+ mile range on modern eCars, which is only going to get better. That makes an eCar a perfectly viable choice for a daily driver in all but the most remote rural areas of the country.
