I did think at 63 and with adult children of his own, it would be very hard to be a full-time parent to babies/toddlers. Day in, day out. A grandparent? Yes. But, the grunt work of a parent to very young kids at an age of retirement. I think a lot of people would be 'been there, done that'.
I don't know her, but I always liked Hoda.
They kept the relationship quiet the first couple of years. I got the sense he was not interested in being in the public eye.
I’m sad about the split. I think if the pandemic hadn’t hit they’d probably have gotten married already, and maybe that would have slowed down any split. I think I’m mostly sad for the kids. They’re still so little.

It’s such a personal decision and obviously causing a lot of strong reactions. I couldn’t do it myself. I am 51 with a teen and sometimes feel too old for him! I mean, I try to keep up because I love to hike and mountain bike, etc with him and love to be really active but It’s exhausting. If she has the love, money, energy, time and health she has my approval though!

I didn't realize she had been with Schiffman 8 years. I thought it was shorter than that.
I did think at 63 and with adult children of his own, it would be very hard to be a full-time parent to babies/toddlers. Day in, day out. A grandparent? Yes. But, the grunt work of a parent to very young kids at an age of retirement. I think a lot of people would be 'been there, done that'.

Hoda and her fiance are older parents, but they seem to be in good health. More importantly, they're providing their children with a happy, stable, and loving home. That's a wonderful adoption outcome.

This is the only thing that gives me pause. You shouldn't force your daughter to take responsibility for your choice. While I think it is great that you are adopting these children it is your choice and you should fine other arrangements rather than make it your daughter's job. That's not fair.
