I liked this episode too. I especially loved the scene with Daryl & Maggie in the cellar, we've all been waiting for that conversation to happen and the dialog and acting was spot on.
I am guessing one of two possibilities for the shadowy figure & Rosita:
- it's Dwight but Rosita thinks it's Daryl and goes toward him only to find out too late that it's Dwight and he kills her/turns her in to Negan
-or-
- it's Daryl but Rosita thinks it's Dwight and shoots him (seems more likely because I don't think Rosita knows Daryl has a new crossbow)

booooooooring. When a show opens with a montage, and then includes filler, it has jumped the shark.

I thought it was boring. I like their storytelling, usually, but not last night. I was disappointed by Eugene's reaction. I expected him to resist, but the way he did it, ugh. And the "who is in the shadows" game, come on... we know it's Dwight, is he or isn't he going to turn her in. Well, based on next week's shots, I'm thinking he does. It was one of my least favorite episodes of the series.

What is wrong with you people? The "filler" is the necessary regrouping after the trauma of losing family members and subordinating themselves the Saviors. Did you just expect the multiple, separate camps to shake hands and rebel the next day?

This season has provided a lot of foundation for what comes next. And, let's be honest, it's a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE show. Stale? There's only so much they can do . . . did you expect Walking Dead: European Vacation?

This show has always been as much about factions, politics, and human interaction as it was about the "end of the world." Part of that is what's happening now. It's not sexy and it's not always exciting. And, I haven't loved every episode, though I've loved most. But, it's a necessary part of the story.

You know when someone says, "to make a long story short" and then they still take way too long to tell the story? That was last night's episodes, whole thing could have happened in 8 minutes.

And really, you take a long range rifle and scope into a heavily fortified compound rather than wait for Negan to come out.

so hope this is the last season.

Everything seems to be dragging along in real time. Kind of a waste of a season. Everything so far could have been captured in one episode.

Rosita & Sasha are going to screw up I just know it, why can't they wait til Rick's plan can come together?! They are just going to piss off Negan. I know Rosita is a hothead but I thought Sasha had some sense.
And Gregory better not rat out Daryl!

This whole episode was really worth ten minutes of filler in a larger episode with multiple plot lines. The problem with this season is that no episodes have multiple plot lines.

It had been overdone, although last night I would have been shocked if it was anyone other than the kid. It will be interesting to see how the show handles this story line. One of the things I like about the show is how much it can diverge from the comic, so this isn't necessarily a spoiler but Negan does not get killed and is still a current character in the comics. After the war between Rick's group and the Saviors there is a large time jump. I do think after this many years they could/should end the series with the end of this story, but have made no announcements yet- even with a decline in ratings they still bring it in for AMC...

I stopped watching for 3 episodes and watched again tonight. I feel like I missed a lot of filler and came in on a somewhat better episode. I feel like that may be the way to start watching it. I didn't miss much by not watching 3 episodes. My friends fill me in on what I miss.

I have been a dedicated fan since season 1. I am sad that I have a hard time watching it now. To be honest, the only reason I watched last night was because there was nothing else that I felt like watching. I was binge watching Vikings for a bit (awesome, but violent, show by the way), and I picked Hoarders over TWD. The show has lost it's steam, is venturing out in too many directions, and is not doing enough character development with a tighter group of people.
