It had been overdone, although last night I would have been shocked if it was anyone other than the kid. It was pretty clear from everything leading up to the meeting (talk with Morgan, talk with Carol, younger brother being trained...) that he was going to die. The entire episode, minus Morgan killing the guy, was predictable. You knew that something big had to happen and someone close to Ezekiel was going to have to die for him to change his mind and decide to join forces to fight Negan. Same with Morgan, you knew something big was going to have to happen to get him to change his stance on killing. While it was predictable, I did think it was one of the better episodes this season.
I agree with PP thought, this show is getting stale. I really don't know how they can continue the show once they kill Negan.
