It's EVERYTHING about what he is doing.

Were you at travel parent meeting last week? If you were, you would know why parents so frustrated with him.

what happened that I missed?

I think its a tough place to be. It is a huge investment to pay for the guys work VISA and move and commitment to a pretty hefty salary. not to mention his investment to come here. It has been a tough start for him too. He has had some difficult family issues back at home in England that creates an understandable distraction. However, maybe there should have been more of an interview process with a better understanding of a solid plan before we committed to such a change.

Look at boys fall standings. Now consider that many of the players on those teams are leaving due to recent actions. Does no one any good to drive to Virginia Beach to get killed by real clubs 50-0.

So are you saying that after the decision was made to put VYS in the VPL, a bunch of players left and made the teams much weaker for the 2015-16 season? Or the 2015-16 teams stayed the same/added players and believed they would be able to compete better than they actually did?

actually its about more than the loss of one program or one coach. It is a multitude of things. Some parents that have been here for a few years are used to feeling like we have a voice. If we would have a problem with a specific coach and took it to the manager>TD, I recall him coming and observing a session and or working with the the people involved to find the best solution. WE had NO PROBLEM with these coaches to my knowledge. It seems that he evidently did and made a decision that heavily effected a large number of players for no reason other than personal differences, to my knowledge. I can understand if there is a legit reason. but if there was it was never shared.

Well he did come into a bad situation. I believe that they let the old TD go without a gameplan. Like someone else said, the old TD did basically all of the planning and organizing. Things were on a kind of cycle that flowed. Unfortunately when this guy got here, there were teams without coaches and the board had not created any plan. Possibly because they didnt realize how much went into running the club behind the scenes. BUT, it seems that rather than collaborating with directors and board, he seems stubborn and needing to make a point that is further destroying an already BAD situation

You could fire the Board he reports to.

aren't most contracts created with an open option to do this should they not meet the expectations?

Or when his work visa expires

Didn't he come into a bad situation as it was? Wouldn't a firing worsen the situation? Instead of firing him what other options are there?

I'm also curious why VYS would leave the league? Because of their relative lack of success? WAGS can no longer offer top teams good competition so VYS was right to join VPL - unless they had the chance to join CCL instead. VYS had several teams that won their WAGS division but once they moved to VPL, they were middle of the pack, which shows that WAGS offered an inferior level of play. VYS's B and C teams can still participate in WAGS or ODSL and through the relegation/promotion system, get the appropriate level of competition for them.

+1
You want to make sure the players are challenged to help their development. It does no good to win a weak WAGS/NCSL division, except to be able to pound your chests. So what if you don't win your VPL division?
