How can you say that? The article also says this, "Authorities also don’t know whether the shooter was among those expelled or if the person had even been in the zoo."

This is not something that should be treated like a debate topic in which each side tries to score points selectively choosing facts. That is simply divisive and not helpful to finding a solution.

Particularly disturbing, that the youths were unconcerned about police presence. No wonder residents are feeling the way they are!!

"D.C. police Capt. Melvin Gresham said at the meeting that officers followed the expelled groups as they left the zoo but were unable to prevent the shooting."

The shooting was not at the zoo.


The people involved in the shooting were in Woodley Park for the purpose of attending Easter Monday at the zoo. You can go back and forth about this all you want. Anyone who lives in WP can tell you that there is almost no reason for teens who don't live in the neighborhood to hang out across the street from the zoo, unless they're planning to enter or already leaving the zoo! Good grief, people.

The shooting was not at the zoo.

Well, for instance, before cancel lim an event that has been held for more than 100 years you might want to confirm that the shooting was connected to the event. Right now, we don't' know the shooter, the motive, or other important facts.


Probably because no one in the crowd wants to snitch to the policie.


Or even more likely: nobody knows who the hell this person is because they're a stranger. Don't perpetuate the myth that black people won't talk to the police.
