We're putting in an application for Shepherd, getting it together right now. Uncertainty is killing me. This is not a temp move, I think that was someone else who had one, but since we're moving into a rental, we can always move after the lease ends. I really want to see what it's like to have a car and a yard and live in a semi-burb. We can explore the city and see what we like there more later, as needed. Or at least this is the plan? Who knows. Now at least in the short term, I have a Brooklyn apartment to declutter and pack.

Source for this? Right now I have heard only rumors and one article said that based on the proposed square footage of the new building a Trader Joe's would be unlikely.

You can use car share and shop at whole foods in Silver Spring. It is right there.

3801 Connecticut Ave Apartments are Pet Friendly (incl dogs) - not sure how big apts are or what fees are for pets

the building is IB for Hearst and you can walk through the park to shorten walk

4411 Conn Ave says IB for Hearst and allows dogs too, probalby trickier walk to school

I'm confused, is this a permanent move or did you mention only being here for 2 years. Makes a big difference when considering middle school.

OP, I really think if you want to remain carless there are much better neighborhoods for you where you can rent a house.

I meant Conn Ave, but yeah I guess the pets an issue for apartments.

The pets are the sticking point in a lot of those big apt buildings. We looked at one somewhere on mass Ave zoned for mann. Fantastic apartment--loved it. But everything about it was designed for cars.
