Yes, I'm an MPH but I've been there 10yrs. $60-65 is about right for MPH with some decent experience (2-5yrs). I see my salary capped soon--only a handful earn over $150/200k in our field and they are very accomplished, well published, senior staff (50/60s). I feel like a minority on this forum but I'm not exactly in this career for $$, we live very comfortably. A bit thrifty.

Yes, we bought starter condo 10yrs ago.

I'm also an epidemiologist and work for NIH while working my way towards PhD. Curious about salary ranges. are you an MPH or PhD? I am 33 and make $60k (MPH in '07) in a contract position and feel like there's not much room for growth. Will finish PhD next year.

If you have little debt 200k can do a million easy

Not this question again -- lots of people have a house in this price range on that sort of HHI. How? Well for one thing, they may not have a mortgage in the 750k range, as many people put more money down if they can. Further, a house in that price range may be a trade up from the starter home they bought cheaply and sold at a profit.

I teach old people how to use the internet It's mostly a combination of organizing, communications, networking, and keeping up with anything in the online world. It's pretty fun, actually. Some days I'm surprised people will pay me to do this.
