+1. Not Catholic, but I tend to like them.
Catholics don't usually proselytize -- so it's easier to like them, despite their religion.

Admittedly though, I do not report until it's gone pretty far. In one case it took the posting of of a semi-pornographic jpeg featuring a Catholic priest (actually pornographic if you factor out that it was in cartoon form) to move me to report.
Aside: Interesting that the only pornographic jpegs I've seen posted on DCUM attack either Catholicism or Islam. The posters seem to think the Islam ones will be reported much quicker than Catholic ones so those only get posted after midnight when there is confidence the moderator is safely asleep. Not so careful with timing on the Catholic ones. I report them all immediately.
I think my reluctance to report until it really goes too far is shared by many of my fellow Catholics. The moderator has said as much--he simply doesn't get the complaints he does with the Islam bashing posts. One of the reasons for this I think is that Catholics are inclined to give inquiries about the faith the benefit of the doubt and do not immediately ascribe malign motives, even where ascribing them would be more than justified. We tend to see answering them as a call to explain our faith.
Also, many of us are from an ethnic group that values its self-deprecating humor and so we tend to be pretty good sports about the attacks.
The combination of these two ends with us giving Catholic bashers a lot of rope to play with.
It is sad that when I read your phrase "semi-pornographic jpeg featuring a Catholic priest", my gut reaction is, was the cartoon based on actual events from real life?
Different pp. What's sad is your immaturity.

Jpeg PP here. Just as much as the ones featuring Mohammed. That is, not at all.

Not Catholic but I do not agree with this. At least they do not have this attitude that they are all saved and going to heaven because they are so special.

Wow -- what a great (even if undocumented) claim! "Not #1 in murder." Congrats to the Church, whose savior is a humble carpenter who preached love and compassion.
Stalin, Mao....
Here's to the Catholic church -- not as evil as the despots Stalin and Mao
Not that PP, but is twisting her point the only retort you have? Why don't you try to defend your fellow atheists, Stalin and Zmao? Or can't you?
They are not fellow atheists. They are despots, irrespective of religion. - Their actions against humanity, which were not done in the name of their religious views, can't be defended.
No.
It was part of their atheism.
Atheist despots are evil to promote their own ends. Religious despots do it for the Glory of God - and with God's blessing, at least in their minds. It's hard to know if God actually approves of despotism, because he doesn't speak out about it. But if a Christian despot wins, they assume that is God's way of voicing his approval.
Why are you afraid to give more than 9 words to the atheist despots? Why are you afraid to acknowledge that religious despots (you clearly have a chip on your shoulder about Christians, but this applies to all religions) are almost always going against the tenets of their own religions?
