FWIW, I'm a dog owner who never puts my dog's poop in anyone else's can, since I wouldn't want to unnecessarily risk annoying a neighbor. But I'm also not overly attached to my own can, so I really don't care if some other dog owner tosses a bag of dog poop in my can. It happens from time to time, the poop bag has never leaked, and the garbage man have always taken away the dog poop along with everything else in my can. It's really not as big a deal as some people here seem to suggest.
So although I'd probably agree with them that it's best to keep your poop in your own can, some of the anti-poop people on this thread seem like real jerks. Because of that, I must admit getting a little enjoyment out of the though of someone else's poop in your can.
Carry on. Keep striking blows for wackos everywhere.
I agree. If my trash can is at the end of the driveway and hasn't been picked up yes, go ahead and put it in.

When the garbage men pulled out my large bag of trash from my bin, they must have pulled out the poop bag too and it landed on the street. So, now there is a bag of dog shit sitting in the street in front of my house. My neighbors must be wondering about it, but we don't have a dog, so not ours. I am leaving it there in the hope the asshole sees it next time they walk by and has the decency to pick it up. I know it's unlikely but I can't bring myself to pick it up.
They pull the trash out of your bin with their hands??? Doesn't the truck have one of this automatic arms that does that?
Yes they do pull out the bags with their hands, no automatic arm so unless your trash is in a big garbage bag, it is not taken. It sucks
