Where have you found that info? What's up on the DCPS website (at least where I look under LSAT > Budget) are all last year's numbers (FY12, SY11/12). I know schools have their initial budget allocations but, unlike other years, there is absolutely nothing public about it or any meaningful time foreseen for input. If you have another link please share.

One thing though that also needs to be factored in is that Wilson is now the biggest HS in the city, with over 1600 kids, so their ppf of $8k is going to allow them to offer a lot more than a school like Roosevelt (646 students) or Coolidge (689 students) even at $13k per kid. I am sure dcps is trying to make up for the high schools with smaller enrollments, since every high school in the country has to offer some kind of bare minimum course selections. And in areas where they don't have a lot of upper income or high performing kids, they are going to need every penny to get their kids a decent education.

If anyone takes a look at the budget, you will painfully see that diversity doesn't guarantee dividends. Next year's budget for the high-school almost promotes an all AA school population of 90% or more is the preferred method in regards to the per pupil student formula.
