Anonymous wrote:That meeting was infuriating. Brenda Wolff has no data, but wants to quickly ram her personal opinion in based on “vibes” and unsubstantiated assumptions with no meaningful understanding of what principals, families, and local businesses may stand to lose/gain. Julie Yang really tried to ask important questions and made excellent points. Really surprised the smob was in cahoots with Brenda considering this would presumably be an unpopular change for students and she is supposed to represent them.

Will be interesting what happens there.

Not everything is strictly about the w schools. It’s a safety and liability issue. How much are your kids spending? Eating out daily is $$

He lives in the BCC area but not sure if his kids go there, private or another school.
He said in an interview all his kids are out of the home.
Isn't he a '96 graduate of B-CC? Let's do the math

Some people start early! Google AI tells me all of his kids are out of school but he has nieces and nephews in MCPS. His kids attended public school (I’m guessing in VA, where he was before coming to MCPS).

How tiny are HS cafeterias that they can't fit 400ish kids at a time?

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:So let’s say open lunch goes away, what are really the consequences when a student leaves during lunch?
None, because plenty of kids leave now at schools that don’t have lunch. So, the rule followers will get their one lunch taken away and those who are more willing to break the rules will continue to have open much.
