It’s not illegal if the refs don’t call a foul. Sounds like sour grapes from a lot of moms and dads from other teams who thought their snowflakes were amazing lacrosse players only to run up against more physical players and better athletes. Get used to it. All that wall ball you did with your daughter when she was six years old won’t make up for the difference in athleticism and grit that the better players display.
This is a weird post because HoCo 34 are one of the least athletic teams I've seen. They are more lesser skilled grinders who seem to practice together a lot and play on/across the line to try to intimidate.
Are you seriously talking trash about a bunch of 9 year olds in an anonymous forum? Pretty telling that all the negativity I’ve seen on this thread about MD United has been about the parents but others feel free to openly bash the athleticism, motivations and even the ultra pink fashion sense of a group of young kids on the HoCo team. Get a grip.

The fact is people have problems with them bc they win and they big. Thats it. It’s a skill issue. All of the whining about dirty coaching and playing is comical. It’s just cope. They win because they are better.
All of the losing parents can’t handle it and lash out at officials instead of teaching their kids to train and embrace adversity.
You don’t like losing to hoco? Work harder or go play soccer. Don’t throw a tantrum and make your team forfeit.
Its not about losing to them it happens. Its about game play. If you think bodying, cross checking, push from behind, slashes, dangerous shots, girls getting hit in the head and intimidation is skill then you have lost your mind. All things that have been called on this team. They typically get yellow cards every game. Sometimes even have girls card out. Parents want their kids to be safe, thats not an unfathomable thing to ask. If they are doing these things at 9/10yrs old what will they be doing when they are 13/14yrs old.
These HoCo girls are 10 year olds you’re talking about here. Stop the bullying. It’s pathetic.
Sounds like the real issue people have here is officiating. I have seen wildly inconsistent officiating across the board this year with NGLL in every age group. Sometimes i think the refs don't understand the checking rules between 8th grade and 3rd grade. Anyone who has watched younger sports (or even older kids) knows if the Officiating is not in control, then stuff can escalate, then players feed off their angry parents. The ole "GET CONTROL OF THE GAME REF!!!!" scenario. I watched almost all of the championship games and the officiating was much better on Sunday then it was on Saturday (presuming they got the A team officials) and everything went fine, including the 34 division. The only real issue was the champions shirts said Long Island on em!!!!
Anonymous wrote:The constant deflection by HOCO, as seen in previous posts, speaks volumes about the culture surrounding this program. Instead of accountability, there are excuses. Instead of sportsmanship, there is blame-shifting. A complete lack of remorse for their role in this fiasco only further damages the integrity of the program. The real question is: when will accountability and character become a priority?

Afterward, HOCo appealed to the officials and had the disqualification overruled, which should not have happened. Both teams had already been forfeited based on the conduct that occurred.
THIS!!! The director walked over and said, “I’m tired of both of your shit. This has been all season with you,” while looking at the HoCo coach, “and especially when you both play each other. You are done. You both forfeit.”
Ask any parent from FLC or Heros who was standing along that fence. It caught everyone’s attention. The director was pissed at both teams for their actions. It’s just that HoCo never seems to have to take responsibility for theirs.
Hero's not '34 here, and this is correct. She said they both forfeit. I don't know what happened after, but everyone on the other side of that fence was collectively going "wtf?!"
i hope the reputation of this team follows them into the summer season and every tournament is aware.
