I know one child has offers from every single team in area. If you kid doesn't have any other then there own club i suggest you don't bother.
This only happens at non-serious clubs. If this applies to you, then you are at a non-serious club. Serious clubs wiil recruit, yes, but they will also want to see how recruits will do in IDs against serious players, i.e, their own players. You can tell if your club is serious if they give offers to players before they see how they match up with potentials from IDs. If you are are a club that has already given offers, you are at a non-serious club. Serious clubs are not worried about their players moving, because serious clubs are the best at lace to be. Period. If you are at a club that has already given offers, you are at a club that doesn’t think better players want to join.
Lol this is not how it works. ID sessions don't mean much. At this point all the clubs in the area have given offers across all teams to their existing core players and those they want from outside. ID sessions might be to fill in couple holes and subs.
The superlatives are a bit much. All clubs, all teams. I know of an existing TOP player, not just core, who does not have an offer from their big club. Kid will get one. Club has no reason to rush.

As a parent, I’m trying to figure out which club would be the better choice for her at the U13 level between VDA and ARL. Those are our only two options, and driving distance isn’t an issue for us.
Which club do you think would be the best fit for her?
Those are both strong teams. I would consider who you think has a coach that is a better fit for your child. I would also flag that that VDA team is a team in flux. There are a significant number of trapped players moving down, so just general movement across 2011/2012 rosters, where as the Arlington team doesn't have as much movement as there is only one trapped player on the 2011 team who may or may not be moving. TLDR: Coach fit and whether you are someone who likes to bet on futures,or prefer a more known quantity.
Arl has 3-4 kids with the new age cutoff. Rumors is 1 is staying and the rest if moving. Same with 12.
3-4. My dd team has 10 that could be moved down.

Arlington has some trap players dropping down. Are you saying that Arlington will not evaluate trap players or any other players if they are elite?
No, that is not what I am saying. At the age group the PP is asking about, VDA has a lot of movement, where as ARL does not because of the number of trapped players at the respective clubs. My understanding is that trapped players at both clubs are moving. I just don't have insight into whether or not ALL of them are moving.
Trapped players are all over. You don't think the Arlington coaches are not evaluating? Unless you have an offer, no player is safe.

The truth is ID sessions are for players who don’t have any offers yet and if they get an offer, they will be mainly for depth not starters. Being in this youth soccer saga for years, the best offer is the one that comes in before open ID sessions.
