I am strongly in favor of gun control (for instance, I do not know why any human being needs a gun that can shoot repeatedly more than 1-2 shots in a row). But given how our trash president with a mafia complex has been getting his jollies out of violating our civil rights and sending in pathetic unemployable ICE losers with masks to get innocent people with the 1/100 success rate at actually catching criminals, I might actually get one to defend myself from them. Which is sad that it has come to this. The inmates are running the asylum.

It’s insane that the survivors of mass shootings experienced this horror twice.

You misspelled gun control.
ah yes gun control because criminals will willingly give up their guns
Clearly you don't understand gun control.
Clearly you don’t understand how many guns are in America. They’re impossible to control.
Thanks for proving my point.
The point is that there is no way to tell where almost all 400M guns are. There is no way to control them if you can’t find them.
And you keep on going…
We get it. You don’t understand what gun control means.
Ignorant people shouldn’t get a vote.
I understand what you think gun control is. You seem to think it can work. It’s unrealistic.
How come no other wealthy country in the world has these problems?

No, you clearly don’t.
What part of gun control calls for “finding” 400m guns?
With 400M guns in circulation gun contol has no control.

Let’s not politicize this please.
People always say that and then nothing happens. How many of these do we have to see happen and listen to empty platitudes about thoughts and prayers while politicians continue to take money from gun manufacturers?
You can’t give it even an hour during an active shooting to begin screeching politics. This is scary, horrifying, and needs to be addressed, but right now, parents are worried their kids may be dead or soon dead
“Screeching politics” means highlighting things that make a certain kind of politics look bad.
Don’t bring up politics! (Nobody says this during terrorist attacks where the perpetrators are a different kind of politics)
People can bring up whatever they want and if you cared enough to have the courage to chime in you'd have the right to do so.
Right now I’m worried about my daughter who is sheltering in place.
I am worried about your daughter too, and I hope she is OK.
I am also worried about gun laws.
The two can happen at the same time, and it makes complete sense for one to more front of mind given your situation. That's how the world needs to work.
NP. There's a time a place to reflect on laws and how they impact us. This is not the time. You are a jerk.
Another NP. The time is now and the place is the Politics forum.
+ 1000. Dumb that this was moved to the Colleges forum.
Was the Aurora shooting in Entertainment? The Vegas shooting? Was Sandy Hook in the Elementary forum? Come on.
